About VantageRise Partners
Built by Someone Who Has Done the Deal.
VantageRise Partners was founded by Daniel King; an operator and franchise professional with a track record across retail, food service, healthcare, and financial services franchises.
The Firm
Operator Experience. Advisory Discipline.
VantageRise Partners exists because most growth advisory firms have never actually run a franchise, negotiated a licensing deal, or sat across the table from a seller. They bring frameworks. We bring experience.
Daniel King has spent his career inside the franchise and business development world; working with brands ranging from Liquid Capital and Franchise Beacon to Grocery Outlet, Drifters Hamburgers, and Diamond Physicians Franchise. That includes licensee acquisition work for brands that grow through licensed operators rather than traditional franchisees; a distinct discipline that requires a different kind of candidate pipeline and qualification process.
We work with a focused roster of clients at any given time. That's intentional. Every engagement gets senior attention, not a junior team running a templated process.

Daniel King
Daniel King has worked across the full spectrum of franchise and business development — from early-stage concept launches to multi-unit expansions and acquisition transactions. His client work spans financial services, food and beverage, healthcare, retail, and home services.
His franchise experience includes engagements with Liquid Capital (Canada), Franchise Beacon, Grocery Outlet, Meltdown Station, Diamond Physicians Franchise, Drifters Hamburgers, Club Tabby, and The File Depot. That range — across industries, deal structures, and business stages; informs how VantageRise approaches every client engagement.
Daniel founded VantageRise Partners to give growth-ready operators access to the kind of deal-level expertise that was previously only available inside large franchise systems or investment banks.
On Service
A Handshake in Space. A Submarine on Our Tail.
I served in the US Navy in the 70's, stationed at Terminal Island, Long Beach, attached to staff at ComDesRon27; a reserve squadron of Destroyers and two Destroyer Tenders.
In July 1975, I served temporary duty aboard the USS New Orleans for the recovery of the Apollo–Soyuz astronauts. It was the first crewed international space mission; the United States and the Soviet Union, shaking hands in space, broadcast to millions as a symbol of détente.
What the cameras didn't show: a Russian submarine followed us the entire way back to the entrance to Pearl Harbor.
Our scientists were shaking hands in space. Down on the high seas, we were still watching each other very carefully.
I think about that a lot in business. The headline and the reality are rarely the same thing. My job is to know the difference.

How We Work
Deals Over Decks
We measure our value by transactions closed and programs launched — not by the quality of our slide presentations. Every engagement is oriented around a specific, tangible outcome.
Focused Client Roster
We limit the number of active engagements we take on. That means every client gets Daniel's direct attention — not a project manager and a team of analysts.
Honest Assessment First
If your business isn't ready to franchise, license, or acquire — we'll tell you that before we take your money. Our reputation is built on clients who succeed, not on billable hours.
Long-Term Relationships
Most of our clients come back for the next deal. We build relationships that extend beyond a single engagement because the best advisory is built on trust accumulated over time.
